Ingredients:
2 cups (200g) graham cracker crumbs
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 container (8 oz / 225g) whipped topping (thawed)
3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
1 can (20 oz / 565g) crushed pineapple, drained well
1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup chocolate syrup
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
Directions:
Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press firmly into a 9×13-inch dish to form an even crust. Chill for 15 minutes.
Make Cream Layer: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
Add Whipped Topping: Fold in half of the whipped topping until light and fluffy.
Layer the Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
Add Fruit Layers: Arrange sliced bananas over the cream layer, then spread the drained crushed pineapple, followed by sliced strawberries.
Top with Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping evenly over the fruit layers.
Add Toppings: Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
Garnish: Add maraschino cherries for a classic banana split look.
Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) until fully set.
