Ingredients:
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix cheddar cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and bacon until well combined.
2. Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1–1.5 inches) and place on a tray. Chill for 15 minutes.
3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
4. Roll each ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumb step for extra crispiness.
5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
6. Fry the balls in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot while the cheese is melty.
