A comforting and flavorful Asian-style rice bowl with juicy pork, soft eggs, and crisp veggies!
Ingredients:
* 1/2 lb (225g) ground pork
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 tbsp soy sauce
* 1 tbsp oyster sauce
* 1 tsp sesame oil
* 1 tsp brown sugar
* 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 2 eggs
* 2 cups cooked white rice
* 1 cup blanched green vegetables (e.g., julienned chayote, zucchini, or green beans)
* Black sesame seeds & chopped chives for garnish
Instructions:
1. **Cook the pork:** In a skillet over medium-high heat, sauté garlic in a little oil until fragrant. Add ground pork and cook until browned. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well and let it caramelize slightly.
2. **Fry the eggs:** In a non-stick pan, cook the eggs sunny-side-up until the whites are set but yolks are still runny. Season with a pinch of salt.
3. **Prepare veggies:** Quickly blanch or sauté your green vegetable of choice until tender but crisp. Season lightly with salt or a splash of soy sauce.
4. **Assemble the bowl:** Shape cooked rice into a neat mound. Place the savory pork mixture around the eggs in the bowl. Add the veggies on the side. Sprinkle black sesame seeds and chopped chives over the rice.
5. **Serve warm** and enjoy this perfectly balanced, savory bowl!
