Cookie Monster Fluff Dessert ![]()
Ingredients
For the fluff base
8 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup whole milk
1 box (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
Blue gel food coloring
For the mix‑ins
1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
1 cup crushed chocolate chip cookies
For garnish (optional)
2 tablespoons additional crushed cookies
4–6 mini Oreos or mini chocolate chip cookies
Whipped cream for dollops
Instructions
Step 1 – Whip the cream
Pour the cold heavy whipping cream into a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer on medium‑high speed, beat the cream until stiff peaks form. The cream should hold its shape when you lift the beaters. Set the bowl aside.
Step 2 – Cream the cream cheese
In a separate large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until it becomes smooth, creamy, and free of lumps, about 1 to 2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat again until fully combined and fluffy.
Step 3 – Make the pudding base
In a small bowl, whisk together the whole milk and the instant vanilla pudding mix for about 1 minute. The mixture will start to thicken. Let it sit for 2 minutes to become very thick. Then add the pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture. Beat on low to medium speed until smooth and no streaks remain.
Step 4 – Add blue color and fold in whipped cream
Add 3 to 4 drops of blue gel food coloring to the pudding‑cream cheese mixture. Stir with a spatula until the color is even. Add more gel coloring one drop at a time until you reach a bright, “Cookie Monster” blue.
Add one‑third of the whipped cream to the blue mixture. Fold gently with a spatula (do not stir) until combined. Repeat with the remaining whipped cream in two more additions. The mixture should now be light, airy, and uniformly blue.
Step 5 – Fold in the crushed cookies
Add the crushed Oreos and crushed chocolate chip cookies to the blue fluff. Fold gently with a spatula until the cookie pieces are evenly distributed. Do not overmix, or the cookies will break down into dust.
Step 6 – Chill
Transfer the entire mixture to a large serving bowl or divide it among 8 to 10 individual dessert cups. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or up to overnight). The dessert will thicken further as it chills.
Step 7 – Garnish and serve
Just before serving, add optional garnishes: a dollop of whipped cream on top, a sprinkle of extra crushed cookies, and one mini Oreo or mini chocolate chip cookie per serving. Serve cold.
