Aussie Potato Scallops golden

𝗧𝗮𝗽 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗢𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁! 🚨
📋 Ingredients
● 4 large potatoes
● 1 cup self-raising flour
● 2 tablespoons cornflour
● 1 egg
● 3/4 cup soda water (cold)
● Oil for frying
● Salt to taste
📝 Instructions
1: Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds, then soak briefly in cold water to remove excess starch. Drain and pat completely dry.
2: In a bowl, whisk together self-raising flour, cornflour, a pinch of salt, egg, and soda water until you have a smooth, slightly thick batter.
3: Heat oil to 180°C (350°F) in a deep pan.
4: Dip each potato slice into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
5: Fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per batch.
6: Drain on paper towels and season immediately while hot.
