Delightful Easter Egg Oreo Balls
Ingredients:
– 36 Oreo cookies
– 8 oz cream cheese
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 12 oz white candy melts (can substitute with white chocolate chips and add coconut oil)
– 1 tbsp pastel food coloring (gel food coloring is recommended)
– Sprinkles or sanding sugar (for playful finish)
Directions:
1. Crush the Oreo cookies finely using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
2. In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and forms a dough-like consistency.
3. Shape the mixture into small egg shapes, about 1 to 1.5 inches long, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
4. Freeze the Oreo eggs for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
5. Melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. If using white chocolate chips, melt with a tablespoon of coconut oil for a smooth texture.
6. Stir in the pastel food coloring gently to achieve a light, even color.
7. Dip each Oreo egg into the melted candy coating, allowing the excess to drip off, then place back on the parchment paper.
8. While the coating is still wet, decorate with sprinkles or sanding sugar.
9. Let the Oreo balls set completely at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.

Tips:
Use gel food coloring for vibrant pastel colors without thinning the candy melts.
Freezing the Oreo mixture before dipping helps maintain the shape and prevents melting during coating.
