Ingredients
● 1½ cups all-purpose flour
● ½ cup granulated sugar
● 2 teaspoons baking powder
● ½ teaspoon salt
● ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
● ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
● ½ cup milk
● ¼ cup vegetable oil
● 1 large egg
● 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
● ¼ cup butter, melted
● ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
● Pinch cinnamon (for glaze)
1: Preheat the Oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan well.
2: Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly combined.
3: Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk milk, oil, egg, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
4: Combine Gently: Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir just until combined — do not overmix.
5: Bake to Golden Perfection: Pour batter into pan and bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
6: Cool Properly: Let rest in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
7: Make the Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with a pinch of cinnamon and a tiny splash of milk until smooth and drizzle-ready.
8: Glaze & Serve: Drizzle over cooled loaf and allow glaze to set before slicing.
● Brush the warm loaf lightly with melted butter before glazing for that classic donut finish.
● Want stronger spice flavor? Add an extra pinch of cinnamon to the batter.
● Don’t overbake — slightly moist crumb keeps it soft like a donut.
● For a thicker glaze, use less milk; for a drizzle, add a few drops more.
