Turtle Caramel Cake – Rich, Gooey & Irresistibly Decadent!
1 box chocolate cake mix
Ingredients listed on cake mix box (usually eggs, oil, and water)
1 cup caramel sauce or caramel candies melted with 2 tbsp milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
½ cup additional caramel sauce (for topping)
Optional topping
Whipped cream
Extra pecans
Chocolate drizzle
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the chocolate cake batter according to the package instructions.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the batter.
Sprinkle:
Chocolate chips
Chopped pecans
Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top.
Carefully spread the remaining cake batter over the filling layer.
Bake 30–35 minutes or until the cake is set and a toothpick inserted near the edge comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool slightly.
Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top and garnish with extra pecans or chocolate drizzle.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
