In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved. Do not boil.<br \/>\n2. Remove from heat and stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Let the mixture cool completely.<br \/>\n3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2\u20133 hours until thoroughly chilled.<br \/>\n4.
