Soak cube steaks in buttermilk for at least 1 hour (or overnight for extra tenderness).<br \/>\n2. Mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.<br \/>\n3. Remove steaks from buttermilk, shake off excess, dredge in seasoned flour, and press in well. Repeat for a double coating.<br \/>\n4. Heat 1\/2 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high. Fry steaks 3\u20134 minutes per side or until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.<br \/>\n5. For gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter or use 1\/4 cup pan drippings.
