Blackberry–Chipotle Sweet Heat Jam

A bold blend of juicy blackberries, smoky chipotle, and sweet honey with a fiery kick—perfect for spreading, glazing, or dipping! 😋
**Ingredients:**
* 3 cups fresh or frozen blackberries
* 1–2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (adjust to spice preference), finely chopped
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 tbsp lemon juice
* 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
* 1/4 cup honey
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 tbsp powdered pectin (optional, for thicker jam)
**Instructions:**
1. **Cook the berries:** In a saucepan over medium heat, combine blackberries, sugar, chipotle peppers, lemon juice, vinegar, and salt. Stir frequently until berries begin to break down and mixture starts to bubble.
2. **Mash and simmer:** Use a potato masher to gently crush the berries. Simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring often.
3. **Thicken (optional):** Stir in honey and powdered pectin if using. Continue to simmer for another 5–10 minutes until the jam thickens to your liking.
4. **Jar and cool:** Remove from heat and pour into sterilized jars. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate. Jam will continue to set as it cools.
5. **Serve:** Delicious with cream cheese and crackers, on burgers, or brushed over grilled meats!
**Pro Tip:**
For a smoother jam, strain through a mesh sieve to remove seeds before cooling.
