Instructions:
step 1 Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin until thin.
step 2 In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
step 3 Brush each slice of flattened bread with melted butter (reserving some for frying), then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
step 4 Roll each slice tightly into a log.
