Creamy, cheesy, and packed with succulent seafood goodness! 😍
Ingredients:
* 9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
* 1 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped (reserve a few whole for topping)
* 8 oz lump crab meat
* 2 tbsp butter
* 3 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 small onion, finely chopped
* 1/4 cup flour
* 3 cups whole milk
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
* 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
* 1 egg
* Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
3. Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in milk and cream. Cook until slightly thickened.
4. Season with Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
5. Add chopped shrimp and crab meat to the sauce. Cook just until seafood is opaque. Remove from heat.
6. In a small bowl, mix ricotta cheese with the egg and a pinch of salt.
7. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer: noodles, seafood sauce, ricotta mix, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, ending with noodles, seafood sauce, and mozzarella on top.
8. Garnish with a few whole shrimp on top.
9. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
Pro Tip:
Add a little lemon zest to the ricotta layer for a citrusy kick that brightens the seafood flavors!
