Caramel Brownie Cheesecake

**Ingredients:**
*Brownie Base:*
* 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
* 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
*Cheesecake Layer:*
* 16 oz cream cheese, softened
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 2 large eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 1/2 cup sour cream
*Caramel Topping:*
* 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
* Sea salt (optional, for salted caramel flair)
*Optional Garnish:*
* Chocolate shavings or curls
* Extra caramel drizzle
**Instructions:**
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
2. Prepare brownie mix according to box instructions. Pour into the pan and bake for 20 minutes.
3. While the brownie base bakes, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla and sour cream.
4. Pour cheesecake batter over the partially baked brownie base. Smooth the top.
5. Bake for another 35–40 minutes, or until the center is just set. Let cool completely, then chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
6. Once chilled, pour caramel sauce generously over the top. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired and decorate with chocolate shavings.
