Ingredients:
* 1 lb ground beef
* 1/2 onion, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 2 cups egg noodles
* 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* Salt & pepper to taste
* 1 cup sour cream
* 1 cup cottage cheese
* 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
* Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess grease.
4. Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
5. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese, then stir in cooked noodles.
6. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer half the noodle mixture, then half the beef sauce, and sprinkle with 1 cup cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers.
7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm!
